Main Client Window
The application opens up inside a window. The window caption is composed from the server name and the name of the running application.
Image quality can be set to Low, Medium, Good and Very Good from the options menu. The trade off is between quality and speed.
When the client window is active, keyboard and mouse input (while the mouse is within the window borders) is sent to the server. Some games hide the original Windows cursor, when Hoot server detects it, it will hide the cursor in the client. To get the window cursor back, use the Alt-Tab keys combination. You can hide or show the cursor using the Options/Cursor/Hide or Show.
By default, the server sends the audio from the server computer to the client. The Hoot server captures all the audio playing on the server computer not just the application sound. You can enable or disable sound using the Options/Audio/Mute or Unmute.
The Hoot client version can be displayed by opening the About box from the Help/About menu. To check for availability of a newer version use the Help/Check For Updates.
The recommended way to exit the client is to close the application using its own exit method. You can close the client using the File/Exit menu.
